  • Challenge Grant Goal Surpassed!

    2014 - 02.27

In mid-January, member Jim Bredt challenged our community to contribute $10,000 to Artisan’s Asylum, which he would match, dollar for dollar.

We are overjoyed to say that within a month the community has stepped up and met that challenge!

With over $11,000 of matching contributions from $1 to $5,000, individuals and organizations in our community have given generously to help us keep the lights on, the doors open, and the tools running here at the Artisan’s Asylum.

While the challenge has been met, the effort continues: as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Artisan’s Asylum depends on contributions from viewers like you to keep our programming and access to these resources affordable for our community.

If you would like to contribute, send us a check or give online: http://www.razoo.com/story/2014-Matching-Grant-Fundraising-Drive

New Storage Space Options and Studio Space Waiting List Update

    2014 - 02.24

    Hi all,

I’m excited to announce a few new storage space options at the Asylum and update you on the availability of studio and storage space rentals.

    Updated Storage Space Options!
    Locker Storage
Locker units are approximately 2′ 6″ H, 16″ W and 15″ D and are good for storage of small tools and materials. They cost $20 each per month, and are available to anyone with a monthly membership at Artisan’s Asylum.

    Rack Storage
Rack storage in the wood and metal shop areas, good for the storage of large materials vertically. Rack slots cost $20 each per month, and are available to anyone with a $100 or higher monthly membership at Artisan’s Asylum.

    Sheet Storage
Sheet Storage is 5 ft X 10 ft x 2 in the wood and metal shop areas, good for the storage of large sheets of metal or wood. Sheet storage slots cost $20 each per month, and are available to anyone with a $100 or higher monthly membership at Artisan’s Asylum.

If you are interested in storage space at the Asylum, please submit a request to this form.

    Studio Space Waiting List Update
The current average wait time for a studio space is 4-6 months, and depends on availability, size of space requested and move-in date.

In order to keep our waiting list active, we have asked all submissions prior to December 15th, 2013 to reconfirm their interest via email. If you joined the waiting list prior to that date, are still interested in space, and have not responded to our most recent notifications, please email space@artisansasylum.com to remain active.

If you are interested in being added to our studio space waiting list, please fill out this form.

    Storage Space Availability
We have a number of locker and shelf spaces available for rent immediately. Pallet spaces are available on a 1-2 month waiting list, and flex space is generally available depending on size and time-frame requested. Rack and sheet storage is limited.

Thanks for reading and we hope to see you at the Asylum soon!

    Jess Muise, Member Services Coordinator
