Cambridge Science Festival – SciFest Block Party
April 26 12-4pm @ the Asylum
Artisan’s Asylum will be offering tours every half hour from 12-4pm for the SciFest Block Party on Tyler Street. This is a great opportunity to visit us and our incredible neighbors Brooklyn Boulders (BKB) Somerville, Greentown Labs, and AirCraft Aerial Arts. Aeronaut Brewery will be hosting the 21+ after party from 4-6pm. Autonomous Combat Robot Design Challenge
April 27th 1-5pm @ the Middle East
Assemble at the Grand Finale of the Cambridge Science Festival to witness the culmination of two weeks of design and fabrication by eight teams of sentient robotic warriors bravely battling each other behind a barricade of bulletproof glass. See a video from last year’s event here!
Given a golden ticket to Artisan’s Asylum, one of the world’s largest maker spaces, contestants will have access to various and sundry tools, components, and engineering mentors from MathWorks, Autodesk, and SparkFun to fully customize their ferocious creations and wage battle to win prizes from all of the sponsors.
The Grand Finale is free and open to the public on Sunday April 27th at 1:00pm at the Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub.

The material prizes have a total estimated cost of $400.
Attendance at the Autonomous Fighting Robots Design Challenge is not necessary to enter the raffle. The winning raffle will be announced at the event and via email.
All proceeds go to support us, a charitable 501(c)(3) with the mission to support and promote the teaching, learning, and practicing of craft of all varieties.
Somerville Open Studios
