Somerville Update: Personal Services Business Closures

General Retail and Personal Services to Close March 22
Today, the Mayor and Board of Health announced additional business closures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. All personal services and general retail provided in person shall temporarily cease operation. This includes hairdressers and barbers, nail salons, massage services, body art, body work, spa services, and general retail.

This does not include services provided by a licensed healthcare provider (such as physical therapy or occupational therapy) or grocery stores, hardware stores, liquor stores, bicycle shops, laundromats, dry cleaners, or stores that sell essential household goods and cleaning products. For the time being, Artisan’s will remain open on a limited basis to our members who make a living by accessing our shops. Members may continue to retrieve personal for work from home, and mail delivery.
