Members are expected to supply their own materials. We do have a very productive scrap wood bin and a ton of small electronic components that are available for general use. Occasionally you can scrounge something good from the metal scrap bin as well.
I’d like to purchase membership or day passes as gift for someone. How do I do that?
Because our facilities requires a level of commitment to be be trained and tested prior to using our shops independently, we do not allow membership or day passes to be set up or purchased as a gift. If you do wish to gift access to our facility, we recommend that you ‘make’ the gift experience yourself! You could give a prepaid credit card along with a thoughtful note explaining your intention or make a day of it and bring them in for a tour or public event. All we ask is that you please do not register on behalf of someone else as our registration requires members and day pass users to submit their legal signature in agreement with all of our member policies.
I’ve never made anything before, is that OK?
Absolutely! Most of our classes are designed to teach people who have little or no experience with the topic. Our instructors and members are enthusiastic about their areas of knowledge and love to get new people making. Any prerequisites for classes will be listed in the description of the class on the Eventbrite registration page.
