Watercolor painting offers some of the most immediate and exciting results in art-making. In this class, we will explore brushstrokes, textures, washes and the wonderful color effects that can be achieved with overlapping transparent brush strokes. After introductory exercises, participants will be encouraged to seek their own direction and personal style.
Students will learn techniques unique to watercolor such as washes, textures, and color mixing. Students will learn elements of composition, color theory, and textures to use in their pieces during the class.
A supply list and how to order supplies will be sent to participants. Please register early to have enough time to order or pick up your supplies.
