In this class you will learn how to use the Bridgeport mill to perform basic precision machining operations. You will learn about tool selection, selecting spindle speeds, and climb milling vs. conventional milling. You will practice setting up the machine, holding work in the vise, changing tools and performing basic cuts.
This training will give beginning students the information they need in order to safely operate the mill and also serves as a good refresher for people who have not used a mill recently.
Successful completion of this class will provide students with the knowledge needed to participate in tool testing for the Artisan’s Asylum Bridgeport mills.
