Express yourself in this fun and relaxing drawing class! Whether you are a professional artist or looking to try your hand at illustration for the first time, this weekend session will guide you through the basics of pencil drawing. This course will cover the technical aspects of illustration in a fun, informative and creative environment.
In this class, we will cover basic techniques and advanced students can gain additional insight on how to improve their artwork. Students will have a completed drawing to share and many take-away skills to complement their own work.
Interested in illustration from an early age, Asia Scudder has trained extensively in how to capture natural form in pencil illustration. Her collegiate studies in environmental and wildlife studies merged her interests in an understanding of the science of form and function in nature’s complexities. Illustration is a practice in seeing, in patience and execution of technique. Scudder has brought this together in her innovative teaching style to mix storytelling with informative conversation on the object, while teaching the technical aspects of illustration.

This class will be run through Zoom and a link will be provided 24hrs before the start of the class. Students will need to log into Zoom via a desktop or laptop computer.
Materials For Class
Materials will be the responsibility of participants and can be ordered online prior to the start of class. We suggest using drawing pencils, charcoal and drawing paper for these sessions.

Drop-In Rate: $15 per session
Monthly Rate: $55 for all four sessions
