Class Description
This class is not only an introduction to fine woodworking furniture building but also an opportunity to learn almost every tool in the woodshop. For anyone interested in building their own furniture, this class will teach you everything you need to get started. During this class, we will use virtually all the tools in the woodshop from Chisel to Tablesaw, Router, Band saw, Joiner, Planer, and Miter saw. Students will learn some hand tool woodworking skills, in addition to using power tools.

Learn to build a Shaker-Style side table with a drawer using rough cherry lumber during this 10-session course.

Part 1 (5-sessions) will introduce students to layouts and drawings to begin their projects, including wood grain consideration and joinery. Students will learn cutting and planer techniques to prepare the basic parts of the table. Tables will not be completed at this time.

Part 2 (5-sessions) will include completing and finishing your table and is only available to students who have completed Part 1. Students signing up for this portion will be automatically registered and your second payment is required before the start of the class.

**Please note: Part 1 and Part 2 are priced separately ($400 registration + $200 materials fee for each session)**

**Tool testing for Router is NOT included in this course.**
