If you have a prototype or art project that needs a bit of engineering or electronics and you don’t know where to start, this course is for you!
We will go over a few successful (and unsuccessful!) projects that have been made, and review a checklist of what you need to do to make sure your projects are successful.
The checklist on prototype and art projects will cover these topics, and more:
– bare minimum – is it possible?
– scoping out the project
– where to get help
– Making N elements – how many, and when to mass produce
– open source
– “Better, cheaper, faster – pick only two!”
The goal of this class is to bring a bit of order to the creative process, so that students know how to tackle their projects successfully. At the end of the class, students should be able to know how to go about creating a prototype or making an art project that requires a bit of engineering or electronics.
A checklist of completed projects and one to fill out by students will be provided.
This class will not run with fewer than 4 students.
