Directed Open Jewelry Studio

April 16 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

|Recurring Class (See all)
Wednesdays, 1/15/19 - 1/29/19

Class Description
Work independently in our Jewelry Shop under the guidance of an experienced professional jeweler who can help you troubleshoot your metalsmithing projects. Must have previous jewelry-making experience or have successfully completed Jewelry Tool Testing at Artisan’s Asylum.

Class Goals
This is a three-session directed open studio, with each session lasting three hours. Bring your ideas and materials, or a project you’ve already begun, and work to complete them in the Jewelry Shop under the guidance of a professional jeweler. Ask any questions you may have, learn how to troubleshoot issues you encounter, and successfully work towards your goal of completing your project(s).

This class does not teach fabrication skills such as soldering, sawing, etc. Those who are completely new to jewelry or metalsmithing are advised to take the multi-week Jewelry 101 class.

The goal of this class is to provide you with professional guidance for your own metalsmithing projects and help you to complete them successfully!

Materials Provided
Tools are available for use. Bring your own materials (including the metals and stones you intend on using for your project) and ideas for what you would like to make.
