You will practice setting up the machine, use the 3-jaw chuck to securely hold work, change tools, and perform facing and turning cuts on aluminum stock.

Intro to Tapping (Machine Shop)

This single evening course will cover different types of taps, tapping guides, lubrication, class of thread, how to calculate the tap drill size from tap diameter and pitch, tapping by hand, in the lathe and drill press. No tapping under power as that is beyond the introductory scope of this.
