DATE:  September 4, 2018     CATEGORIES:  Blog, Community, Electronics, Events, Get Involved!, Membership, Outreach, Past Events

On Wednesday, August 15th, Artisan’s Asylum partnered with the Boston Children’s Museum to bring “Critters, Crafts, and Cocktails” at the Boston Grown Ups Museum (21+). This unique experience drew over 1,500 guests and provided the crowd with cuddly animals, hand-crafted drinks, and incredible interactive activities provided by yours truly!

Here is a list of our wonderful makers who represented A2 with flying colors:

Rebecca Knepple and Scott Janousek – 3D Printed Bottle Cap Openers

Mike Beach – Electronic & Robotic Crafts (Make Your Own Blinky Light)

Peter Dilworth – 3Doodler Demo and Group Doodling Session

Ted Sirota – Laser Cut Drink Tags Demo and Activity

In terms of our next big demo alongside the Boston Children’s Museum, we are bringing even more talent and showpieces to this year’s Boston Mini Maker Faire. We are currently looking for more volunteers for the event, so if you want more information about how to get involved, please email timothea@artisansasylum.com.

Celebrate the art of making at Boston Grown-Ups Museum with many unique activities and fun takeaways throughout the night!

Growing up can wait right? Well it’s ok for one night to not grow old! Bring your friends and celebrate August in the City!
