Cost: $120 + $3.99 ticket fee

Have you learned how to use your sewing machine, but want more projects to pursue? Ever find that perfect piece at the Garment District that’s just barely not your size? Want great fitting clothes, but don’t want to spend a lot of money on an expensive tailor? This class is for you! Learn basic alterations like hemming pants and jeans, taking in and letting out waistbands, and more!

Purchasing admission to this class also admits students to the Artisan’s Asylum Stitch ‘N Bitch theme night (Sundays, 7 PM-10 PM), where students will be able to practice their newfound skils with experienced instructors on-hand to answer questions and help students with projects.

Class Goals:

The goal of this class will be to get students comfortable performing alterations to their clothes on their own.

Prerequisites:

Some experience sewing (either self-taught or through classes).

Materials:

Students will need to purchase an inexpensive package of materials from the instructor and provide their own clothes for alteration.
