Heat Wave Hits the Asylum – don't forget water and closed-toe shoes!
An Artisan’s Asylum-tailored public service announcement for this week’s heat wave:
- No matter how hot it is outside, closed-toe shoes and long pants are necessary if you’re going to be working in the wood, welding, machining, or hot crafts shops. Bring layers and shoes in a bag if need be.
- The Asylum has functioning air conditioning, but not at movie-theater levels. On 90 degree days, it will be a little warm in the building. Remember to take breaks, drink water, and have some salty snacks on hand. There’s a water fountain next to the screen printing studio.
