MATERIAL’S FEE POLICY CHANGE

DATE:  August 1, 2019     CATEGORIES:  Somerville Media Center Partnership

Dear Community,

Thanks to all of you who have participated in classes at Artisan’s Asylum in the past, and cheers to those who plan to take classes with us soon!

Artisan’s has begun to take steps to ensure that both our organization and Instructors are in compliance with IRS standards and have removed the materials fee embedded in our ticket prices. Instead you can now pay the fee directly to the Instructor on the first (or only) day of class. Please make sure to check what your materials fee is and bring that with you!

This change will take effect on September 1, 2019 and all classes going forward will list the material fee separately in the course description. As you sign up, we ask that you review if there is a materials fee and how much it is. When you arrive for your class, please be sure to bring cash or a check (payable directly to the Instructor) in the amount of the materials fee listed. Some Instructors may accept Venmo, but they will let you know prior to the class if they have an account and provide instructions on how to pay using that platform.

Since we don’t want to bar any access to the class should you not have the fee with you and ready, Instructors may ask you to go across Somerville Avenue to NAVEO bank and use their ATM before admitting you into the class

Enjoy the remainder of the summer and we’ll see you in the fall!

Warmly,

Anne Wright
Education Program Director
