How To Get Here

Tyler Street is parallel to Somerville Avenue, between Dane and Properzi Streets. Parking is available in the Ames lot on Dane Street, just south of Tyler (click here for bird’s eye view). Please leave street parking for our residential neighbors, unless you are actively loading or unloading, or your truck or van is too tall for clearance into the Dane Street lot.

*SNOW UPDATE 2/15/2015: Due to the amount of snow we have received, many spots in parking lots are not available. Parking is only allowed on the even side of the street due to the City of Somerville’s snow emergency which is on until further notice. Travel on Properzi and Tyler is tight. As the snow clears, conditions will improve. This week when traveling to the Asylum for anything please use caution and leave extra time to make any appointments or classes on time.

There are two T stops a mile away from the Asylum:

Harvard Square (Red Line): Click here for walking directions.

Porter Square (Red Line): Click here for walking directions.

There are Hubway stops available at Porter Square and two blocks away from the Asylum in front of Conway Park. The 83, 85, 86, and 87 buses all stop within a few minutes’ walk. The 83 and 87 connect to Porter Square, while the 86 connect to Harvard Square.
