Learn how to use the in-house large-format vinyl cutter, and how to weed, transfer, and apply your vinyl decals. In addition, you’ll learn about the wide variety of applications for vinyl including signs, car decals (bumper/window stickers), laptop decals, home decor, masking intricate designs for painting, and other projects! During this class, you will be making your very own vinyl decals to keep for yourself, or to give as a gift.
FYI: If you are an Asylum member, you have unlimited usage of the vinyl cutter after this class!
Users will be certified on the vinyl cutter after taking this class. Students should bring something to write with/on if they would like to take notes but slides will be provided to students after class. Additionally, any vector graphics that you would like to make into vinyls are welcome!
Note: this is not a modeling class, and will not teach students how to create designs to cut (outside of basic modifications in inkscape).
